Baking birthday chocolate cup cakes

Baking birthday chocolate cup cakes

You will need to make 12 cupcakes:-
  • 4oz Butter
  • 6oz Sugar
  • 5oz Flour
  • 1oz Coco powder
  • 4 tbl Milk
  • 2 Eggs
Butter icing:-
  • 4oz Butter
  • 8oz Sugar

  1. First thing you need to do to make your cup cakes pre-heat the oven to 160 (fan oven) 180 normal. Mix the butter and sugar together into a mixing bowl. Then sieve the flour and coco powder and mix that in with the butter and sugar.
  2. Break the eggs into a cup and mix.Add the milk and eggs to the mixture till there are no lumps and all the ingredients are mixed together smoothly.
  3. Put your cupcake cases into a baking trey and the but the mixture evenly into the cake cases.
  4. Put the cakes into the oven for 15-20 mins.
  5. When done use a knife and poke the cakes and if the knife comes out clean then your cakes are cook.
  6. The cakes now need to be placed onto a cooling rack.
  7. Whilst you are waiting for the cakes to cool start making the butter icing by just mixing the butter and sugar together. Now the amount I have put on here was enough for me but if you need more add 2oz (Butter) by 4oz (sugar).
  8. When cakes have cooled down put the icing on top and to make the cakes look more interesting I added little butterflies, but you can add anything you want. I also put them into a cardboard box as they were for a lovely friend of mine's birthday. Also my cake cases had happy birthday on the bottom, thought they were cute.

I hope you have enjoyed this blog, and I hope you try this out for yourself. It's simple and easy to do at home. For a friend or even just for yourself. They taste so good aswell.

If you would like to see more blogs like this comment bellow what you would like me to bake and I'll try and do so as I am not an expert.
