My First Tattoo

In April 2016 I got my first tattoo done. I've been wanting to get a tattoo for ages but for me it needed to have a lot of meaning to it and look good as well. A couple of weeks before hand me and James went to Tokyo Tattoo so we could book our appointment. We didn't realize on the day that we were going to book it, but we are so glad now that we booked it when we did. We talked to this person (who is one of the tattoo artists) about what we wanted. At first I wanted three stars one big one and two little ones either side and for them all to be just plain black. I wanted it on my right hand wrist. But Lala suggested another idea which sounded so much better than mine and looked a lot better too. So that was it then we were going to get our tattoos done. No going back.

Before I got my tattoo done James got his done and because of seeing that it made me very nervous waiting. Which is quiet funny now as now I know what it feels like I feel a bit silly. It did hurt but not as much as a lot of people had said, it's more annoying than anything. It's like your being scratched by something sharp or popping a spot. But over time it dose get easier as you get used to it really. When it was finished I was glad it was over though as it is that annoying and the finished result looked amazing. So I would say if your thinking about getting a tattoo make sure you like where it is placed before they start to tattoo you, as it's permanent. But I'm sure you've heard that a lot of times before. Personally tattoos with meaning are a lot nicer as then every time you look at it you'll be reminded of that meaning.

Mine is a 5 point star just below my wrist with a universe inside it. So it's very colourful and it has stars in within the star which I love and it really goes well with my meaning. Which I will get to in a bit. It's not very big, it's about 2 inches. Which for me a big enough as I don't want to have huge tattoos on my body. I just want a few little meaningful ones. But I do love the look of a lot of big ones that I've seen on people.

Now to the meaning. 'The universe changes all the time and so does life and it's how you deal with that change that makes you who you are'. This meaning means a lot to me as my past wasn't great but I have gotten through it and I am a much better person because of it. It also helps knowing that I'm not the only one that has gone through stuff and been able to get through it in the end. Like James, he has really helped me to become who I am today. Which I love him for that.

Hope you enjoyed this blog! See you next month for another blog post.
