Bucket List | 2017


My good friend Emily did a blog post about her bucket list and I thought it was a great idea. I'm an not normally one to make bucket lists as I find that as I grow in age what I want changes so I thought about doing a bucket list just based on me now in 2017. Then in a year or so look back on what I have put and see if anything has changed or been achieved.

I love watching YouTube videos on people talking to there future telling them what they hoped to achieve by a certain age. That's how I got this idea really. I combined the bucket list blog post from Emily and those videos to see if I can make it work.  We will have to see. It might not, but it's something I really want to see if I can make work. Maybe a yearly thing or even once every couple of years. We will have to see on that one. Because a year might not be long enough. That's the fun thing about trying out new things is that if you don't like them or they are not working for you you can just stop doing it and find something new/else to do instead. Or you might find that it works really well for you and then you have found something that you want to carry on.

1. I thought as this is a blog post I would do a goal on my blog first. This is my third year of blogging and my blog has gone from me not knowing what on earth I was doing and just trying it out, to getting to 10,000 views and 14 followers. Now that might not sound much to a lot of you. To me that is an amazing achievement considering that I didn't think my blog could get to that. So my goal is to reach my 100th blog post and do my first giveaway for people to enter. I have seen loads of people do this and I enter a lot myself. It's my way of giving something back to my viewers, kind of like a thank you.

2. Moving away from my blog, and moving towards me as a person. As I feel like I am constantly growing as a person and I love learning new things about myself and changing for the better as a person too. My life is pretty good right now so I can't really complain but I would like myself to get fitter (I always say this as well) but this time it is something I feel that will give me more energy. Not only fitter in the sense of being active, but eating better and doing more things outside of work. Whether that means joining a sporting club or just going to the park for a jog/play football.

3. With myself lately I have been feeling like there is something that I am missing. I feel like that thing is Media. I did it at GCSE and I loved it. I haven't done it since. So I would like to either get a job in that area or to do more of a regular thing in media.

4. On to my work, at the moment I work at Create which is my family's business and I am also a nanny for some twins. Soon I have just started a Youth Work Apprenticeship which will take me a year to do. So realistically I want to have that completed it. It is all very new to me and I haven't done anything like it before so it will be a bit of a challenge.

5. I want to travel to at least 5 different places, one of them being New Zealand. I have always said that I have wanted to go to New Zealand so I want to at least go there first. I don't mind where the other 4 places are as long as I haven't been there before. I would love to travel the world really. I know that, that goal is too high. So I have made a more realistic.

6. LEARN TO DRIVE AND PASS BOTH THEORY TEST AND PRACTICAL! I have had driving lessons before and I know how to drive, but sadly I failed my theory and I couldn't afford to carry on with lessons if I haven't passed my theory. So I know for sure I can pass my theory by the time I do my next bucket list as I was only 1 mark off. I was very annoyed. I think I can do it.

7. Go on a road trip with either friends or James. I love going to new places and I feel like a road trip is one of those things that everyone should do once in life. I think it's a great way of exploring and going to somewhere new. That way you can make a great memory and experience something new.

8. Get more confident with playing the Ukulele and learn at least 2 songs. At the moment I am learning how to play the Ukulele and I love it. I tired guitar but I could never get the hang of it. Then a lady called Sue wanted to teach people how to play it for 2 free lessons and I haven't been able to put it down since. I am still a little rough playing it though more so with the G chord. So I would like to improve that skill more and to be more confident in it.

9. I have 1 tattoo that I love. I would like to get a few more. All the ones I want though are small as I'm not really into getting really big ones. Small meaningful ones is what I want. The next one I want is a Tiger's head. As they are my favorite animal and have been since I was a little girl.

10. I love living at home, I feel ready to leave home now. Whether that is getting my own flat or house. Basically I want to leave the nest as they say. Of course I want to move into a place with James too. I know it costs a lot of money, so even if we look at a few different places I will be happy.

I feel like these goals are a good sign of who I am as a person. As you can really tell what a person is like by what goals that want to achieve in life.
