Things to do in December | Blogmas day 2

Welcome to day two of Blogmas! I really enjoyed writing yesterday's blog and I hope you got something from it. Today I am going to be talking about 'things to do in December'.

December is a great time of year as it's so festive. People really start to get into the Christmas spirit. The things people struggle with though is finding something to do as it's cold, sometimes wet and windy too. It's all about going out and finding what's happening near you. These things that I will be talking about in this blog post are things that are happening all over. So it's most likely happening in your local area.

Christmas Market

In a Christmas Market, there are lots of cute Christmas stalls available to browse. In Cheltenham (which is where I live) it's called a German Market. It's normally filled with lots is Christmas goodies for stockings and gifts. Also, they sell hot food for you to eat as you are walking around. It's a great thing to do with your whole family and you don't have to spend ours there if you don't want to. The things you can get there are normally things you won't be able to get anywhere else. This makes the gifts a little bit more special.

Ice skating

Wanting something fun to do with your friends, ice skating is that thing. It's a fun activity to do together and it doesn't matter if you're good at it or not. It's all about doing something fun and having a laugh. People don't need to spend the whole of December buying gifts. A lot of people tend to do that. Why not instead of buying your friends a gift you all just go and do an activity to enjoy together.

Explore somewhere new that you haven't been before. Doesn't have to be fair, can even be a place in your local town. Doesn't have to cost much either to get there. It's all about going somewhere new and having an explore. It's good to get some fresh air. New places are the best places to do that as you aren't bored of the area and your more likely to enjoy your surroundings.

Cotswold Farmpark

Who doesn't like cute looking animals, am I right? The Cotswold Farmpark is a great place to do that. You can feed and pet animals. It's a real family place. Like I said it's good to take yourself to a new environment and it's something very different to what you see every day.  It's a great price too. Around Christmas time for most people money is tight. So not long a great day out but you don't have to spend tones of money.

Christmas Lights switch on

Normally in every town, there is a light switch on. As well they normally have someone like Santa come to turn them on or someone famous. They have a live band or carol singers, Santa's grotto and wonderful lights to see. You get to see the community come together to turn on the lights and have a good time. It's a great thing to be apart of and you can do your Christmas shopping before or after it's happening.

See you next time for another.
