Reflection of the year | Blog Anniversary

Today is my blog's third birthday and these three years have been amazing. I have learnt so much about myself and blogging. Who would have thought that when I start I would be here? It has been something that I feel like I will be doing for a long time - if not forever! I get a lot from it. Such as writing skills, expressing myself and getting to know other bloggers. This is something that I feel I don't get from anything else.

I thought as it's my third year of blogging I would reflect on it. It's been a year of ups and downs. This isn't a bad thing at all. It has allowed me to learn things and develop on other things.

For my blog 2017 has got me to reach other 10,000 views and I would never have thought it could have gotten to that much so soon. Not only that on Google+ I reached 50 followers. Now that might not seem a lot but I am super chuffed with this goal. These goals are something that I am proud of and know that it will keep going up. It makes me feel that what I am doing is worth it. Even though I don't get loads of response on my blog - this is something I will be working on in this new year.

Sticking to the blog theme I did my first blogging workshop this year. I didn't have much faith in myself at first as I was so nervous. But I did a lot of preparation that seemed to have paid off. The people that turned up were very responsive and willing to learn. Now I am no expert on blogging but I taught what I know - which is how to start a blog. I enjoyed it in the end and I hope to do more workshops in 2018.

New Job

I have been working hard for the last few years on trying to get a job. I have done lots of training and volunteering. With this, I have gained lots of new skills that I can use in the workplace. At this place that I volunteer at their was a lot opening so I applied for it and got it! I feel super proud of myself. I start in a week. It's a great start to the year really.

James and I have been together for a long time now and we are finally moving in together. We have been decorating our room until Christmas time. It has been so lovely doing this together. We are officially moving in together in a month or two. It's going to be a great year for us. It will change a lot of things and be weird to adjust. I just can't wait for it to happen!

This year has been very tough for me with my self-confidence and worth. I have treated myself pretty poorly. I got very bad around Easter time. Since then I have tried to turn my life around by getting help where needed. Putting my health before anything else. Saying more positive thoughts about myself and eating better. I am now starting to do more exercise too. Even though I could still do more to help myself I feel like this is a step in the right direction. I am still struggling but I will get there for sure. I just need to keep going.

There you go my reflection on my year. It's been one of those years but I wouldn't change any of it for the world. What has your year been like?

See you next time for another.
