Starting to love me time more

Me time used to be something that I hated to do. I would get bored quickly and not enjoy how quiet it was. I am a huge over thinker. When I'm alone this is when my overthinking would happen more. I even found myself overthinking so much that I would have panic attacks. This made me really resent being alone - I would try my best to surround myself with people.
It got to the point where I didn't want to do anything alone. Such as walking to the shops or watching TV. It was getting a bit ridiculous. Things needed to change.

Having time to yourself is very important it allows you to have a bit of a break from the world. It's something that is advised by everyone to do. I didn't really think this was true - until now. Now I totally agree and think some people should be doing more of it. It's not something that comes easily to some people. Even more so if you're a parent. Being a parent, however, does not mean that you don't need your alone time.

I started to change the way I thought about alone time by using the time in a different way. Instead of doing the same things every time and expecting it to be different I need to change the way I do things.

I now use me time as a chance to do the odd jobs that I need to do but never seem to have the time for. I put on some upbeat music to get me in the mood and away I go. I get so much done. I don't do this every time as you need to rest. If I'm not doing chores I am making myself feel good by pampering. Taking a bath with bubbles is my first go to thing when pampering myself.

After I started doing these things my mind has started to change. I still can't have hours of me time. But at least I am enjoying the me time I am having. That is the most important thing.
