Why I love taking pictures

I have loved taking pictures ever since I was a little girl. I would use my mum's camera and take shots of everything I saw. It didn't matter if it was a bin or a person, I wanted a picture of it. It wasn't because I wanted to remember the moment or anything like that. It was because I wanted to see the world through the eyes of a lens. I wanted to see if the camera saw what I saw. Most of the time the camera picks up more detail and surroundings that my eye couldn't see. This amazed me so I just kept taking more and more.

Now I have my own camera and editing software to use I take more pictures than ever. I always find myself taking pictures, even at random times of the day. I get so much joy out of it. Even the editing side of things. Some people find it time-consuming. Not me I love it. It's a chance for me to make the picture mine by editing it in my style and making it look the way I want to.
Taking pictures allow me to show a story a story about anything I want to share. You can really capture a great moment in time and keep it forever. Whether that's keeping it in a frame on your wall or turning the photos into a scrapbook. There is so much you can do with just one photo.

Meg!
